A Day At The Lake

One Friday in July we went to Pineview. The water was higher that we had ever seen it. That didn't stop us from jumping right in. The boys loved it. We spent the entire day swimming, fishing, canoeing, and just relaxing.

Catch & Release. Izaak wanted to keep his carp until we told him just how yummy carp were. He went right back into the water.

A highlight of the day...we would throw out a bumper bird into the lake, and Cinder would retrieve it. The boys came up with the idea to attach the leash to her harness while she retrieved. They would hold onto the leash, and Cinder would pull them out with her, and then back to shore. They took these free rides several times. It was fun. Poor Cinder was pretty tired by the end of the day.
